Expectations for lessons

Lessons are once a week at the Sudbury piano studio. Each lesson focuses on the student’s individual abilities and interests. In general, lessons also include scales, ear training, music theory, and sight reading.

Expectations for the Student

Students should arrive on time with all necessary materials

Students should complete the assignments given for the week

Consistent practicing is encouraged. In general, I would recommend no less than a half hour of practice each day. Consistent practicing is the only way to achieve long – term progress. 

Participation in studio recitals

Parent Expectations

Stay involved and encourage your child. Help your child practice by creating a comfortable and supportive environment at home.

Arrive and pick up from lessons on time. 

Communicate with me about any and all other important issues!

Studio Hygiene

Please take off your shoes when you enter the studio. Before touching the piano, please make sure your hands are clean – there is a bathroom and sink with soap in the waiting room.
